Hello, here are three interesting films I watched for inspiration as they are all related to the summer atmosphere. Each one of them has unique style, great story and wonderful acting.
Bigger Splash
In “A BIGGER SPLASH,” the lives of a high-profile couple, a famous rock star (Tilda Swinton) and a filmmaker (Matthias Schoenaerts), vacationing and recovering on the idyllic sun-drenched and remote Italian island of Pantelleria, are disrupted by the unexpected visit of an old friend (Ralph Fiennes) and his daughter (Dakota Johnson), creating a whirlwind of jealousy, passion, and ultimately danger for everyone involved.
Knife in the Water
A couple pick up a hitchhiker on the way to their yacht. The husband invites the young man to come along for their day’s sailing. As the voyage progresses, the antagonism between the two men grows. A violent confrontation is inevitable.
Purple Noon
Tom Ripley is sent to Europe by Mr. Greenleaf to fetch his spoiled, playboy son, Philippe, and bring him back home to the States. In return, Tom will receive $5,000. Philippe toys with Tom, pretending he will go back home, but has no intentions of leaving his bride to be, Marge, and honoring his father’s wishes. After some time passes, Mr. Greenleaf considers the mission a failure and cuts Tom off. However, he will need all his conman abilities to keep afloat.
Enjoy!
